Shelf Truck, Three Tier

Description

A three-shelf tubular steel truck with twenty-four by thirty-six inch shelves, rated twelve hundred pounds distributed, on four-inch casters with two brakes. The shelves are dished with a raised lip on all four sides, which is the difference between a shelf truck and a shelving unit on wheels: a lip stops a part sliding off when the truck stops, and things on a truck stop suddenly by definition. Eight inches of clearance between shelves, enough for a standard tote or a stacked run of cartons. The push handle is at one end only rather than both, so the truck has an unambiguous front, which sounds trivial until you watch someone try to steer a loaded double-ended truck through a doorway. Good for order picking, maintenance rounds and anything where a person needs three separated loads within reach. Not a substitute for a platform cart when the load is one heavy item.
