1. Scope
This policy explains what personal information TXB Supply Co. collects when you use this website or buy
from us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to
do about it. It covers this website only.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order we collect your name, billing
address, delivery address, email address and telephone number. If you create an account we store
those details and your order history against it. If you contact us we keep the message and our
reply. If you claim a tax exemption we hold the certificate you send.
Payment information. Card details are entered into our payment provider’s
secure fields and are processed by them. We do not receive or store your full card number, expiry
or security code. We receive a confirmation, the last four digits, the card brand and an
authorisation result, which is what lets us match a payment to an order and handle a refund.
Information collected automatically. Our server logs record IP address,
browser type, pages requested and timestamps. Cookies keep your cart and session working, remember
preferences, and — where used — measure aggregate traffic. Cookies that are strictly necessary for
the cart, checkout and security cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
We do not ask for and do not want special category information — health, biometric, racial or
ethnic origin, political or religious belief, or trade union membership. Please do not send it.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your information to take and fulfil orders, to take payment and handle refunds, to arrange
delivery, to answer questions, to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires, to detect
and prevent fraud, and to maintain and secure the site. The basis for most of this is performance
of the contract you entered when you ordered. Fraud prevention, security and service improvement
rest on our legitimate interests. Tax and accounting retention rests on a legal obligation.
Optional marketing rests on your consent.
4. Marketing
We send order and service messages — confirmation, dispatch, tracking, a problem with an order —
because they are part of the contract, and you cannot opt out of those while an order is live. We
send marketing email only if you have asked for it. Every marketing message carries an unsubscribe
link that works, and unsubscribing does not affect service messages.
5. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with: our payment processor, to take payment and handle refunds
and disputes; our shipping carriers, to deliver, which means name, address and usually a contact
number; our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instruction; and our accountants
and professional advisers. We disclose information to a public authority where we are legally
obliged to, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own
marketing.
6. How long we keep it
Order, invoice and payment records are kept for the period tax and accounting law requires, which
is several years after the transaction. Account details are kept while the account is open and for a
reasonable period after. Correspondence is kept while it is useful for supporting you, and then
deleted. Server logs are kept for a short operational period. When a retention period ends we delete
or anonymise the data.
7. Security
The site is served over TLS. Access to order data is restricted to people who need it, and
administrative access requires individual credentials. We keep our platform and its components
patched. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise; if a breach affects your
personal information and the law requires us to tell you, we will, without unnecessary delay.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold
about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask for deletion where we have no
overriding obligation to keep it, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive certain
data in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where consent was the basis. Residents of some US
states, including California, have specific rights to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out
of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. We will
not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
To exercise a right, email support@txbsupply.store. We may need to verify your
identity, usually by confirming details of an order, so that we do not disclose your information to
someone else. We respond within the period the applicable law allows.
9. Children
This site is intended for business buyers and adults. It is not directed at children, and we do
not knowingly collect information from a child. If you believe a child has given us information,
contact us and we will delete it.
10. Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies run the cart, the checkout and security, and the site does not work
without them. Preference cookies remember choices. Analytics cookies, where used, measure traffic in
aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but blocking the necessary ones will
break checkout.
11. Third-party links
Where we link to a manufacturer’s data sheet or another external page, that site has its own
privacy policy and we are not responsible for it.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the last updated date above shows when. For any privacy question
