Description

A twenty-four inch wheeled magnetic sweeper with a release handle that breaks the field and drops the collected debris into a bin rather than making somebody pull nails off a magnet by hand. That release is the only feature that determines whether a sweeper stays in use after the first month. Ceramic magnet array with an adjustable height so the gap can be set for the floor: lower for fine swarf on smooth concrete, higher for nails on a rough apron where the magnet would otherwise drag. Picks up steel fasteners, welding rod stubs, staples, banding offcuts and the strapping seals that end up under a rack. It does not pick up aluminium, brass or stainless in the non-magnetic grades, which is worth knowing before you trust a lane to it. Run it before a shift rather than after, and run it across the direction of traffic rather than along it. Keep it away from anything with a magnetic stripe or a mechanical watch.
