Description

A seventy-two inch welded steel cabinet with four adjustable shelves and a three-point locking handle. Welded rather than knock-down, and that is the difference worth paying for: a knock-down cabinet is bolted at the corners, it racks progressively as it is loaded and moved, and once the carcass is out of square the doors stop meeting — which is exactly the moment the lock stops mattering, because the door can be sprung. A welded carcass stays square for its whole life. Three-point latching pulls the door into the frame at top, centre and bottom rather than at the handle alone, so the door cannot be levered at a corner. Shelves adjust on a two-inch pitch and carry about two hundred pounds each. Anchor it to the wall, loaded or not. This is a secure general storage cabinet; it is not rated for flammable liquids, which need the double-walled fire cabinet instead.
