Description

A pleated cartridge filter, a foam wet sleeve and six collection bags, fitting the common twelve to sixteen gallon industrial wet/dry units. The foam sleeve is the part everyone forgets and the part that keeps the motor alive. A pleated cartridge is a dry filter; pull water through it and it blinds instantly, the airflow that cools the motor stops, and the motor cooks. The sleeve goes on for wet pickup instead, and the cartridge comes off and stays dry. Collection bags are for fine dust — drywall, concrete, toner — which passes straight through a cartridge and out the exhaust into the air of the room you are cleaning. Tap the cartridge out after every dry use rather than washing it; washing a paper-media cartridge swells the pleats and it never breathes the same again. Replace the cartridge when the suction drops and tapping stops recovering it, typically once or twice a year in real use.
