Trash Liner, 55-Gallon

Description

One hundred fifty-five gallon liners, thirty-eight by fifty-eight inches, one and a half mil linear low-density. Linear low-density rather than high-density, and that is the only decision that matters in a trash bag. Linear low stretches around a sharp corner and resists puncture, which is what you want for a workshop or a dock where the waste has edges. High-density resists tearing but punctures easily, so it is the right bag for paper, restroom and cafeteria waste and the wrong one for anything with a broken pallet slat in it. Star-sealed bottom rather than a flat gusseted seal, which distributes stress around the base instead of concentrating it at two corners and is why star-sealed bags leak far less. Size the liner so about five inches overhangs the rim; over-long liners get pushed down inside the container by the first bag of waste and then the waste goes in beside the liner instead.
