Description

A silicone half-mask facepiece with a pair of P100 particulate filters and a pair of organic vapour cartridges. P100 is the highest particulate class and is oil-proof, so it covers sanding, grinding and dusts that a lesser filter does not. The organic vapour cartridge handles solvent vapours from paints, adhesives and degreasers. Three things have to be true for any of this to work and none of them come in the box. The cartridge must be correct for the actual contaminant, which means knowing what it is. The mask must fit, which means a fit test, because facial hair or the wrong size makes the seal leak and the wearer breathes around the filter. And a respirator programme generally requires medical clearance and training before anyone wears one at work. Cartridges have a service life once opened and must be changed on a schedule, not when the wearer smells something.
