Polypropylene Strapping Kit

Description

Everything needed to start strapping in one box: a half-inch polypropylene coil of three thousand feet, a manual tensioner, a front-action sealer and a thousand open-flange seals. Polypropylene is the right material for unitising cartons, bundling light stock and closing a carton that is slightly over-full. It has enough stretch to absorb a knock without shattering and enough recovery to stay tight as a load settles. It is not the material for steel, masonry or anything with real mass behind it, where the strap will simply be cut by the load itself; that is a job for steel or heavy polyester and a different tool. The tensioner and sealer here are manual and mechanical, with no battery and nothing to charge, which is why they are still the default on a bench that straps intermittently. Seals are consumable and stocked separately by the thousand. Keep the coil out of direct sun, because ultraviolet degrades polypropylene long before the coil runs out.
