Description

Six pairs of fifteen mil flocklined nitrile gloves, twelve inches to the cuff. This is the reusable chemical glove, not the disposable examination glove, and the distinction matters when somebody is decanting a concentrate. Fifteen mil gives real chemical resistance and real puncture resistance; a four mil disposable gives neither against an alkaline degreaser. The flock lining is a cotton layer bonded inside, which absorbs sweat and lets the glove come off without turning inside out, which is what makes a heavy glove tolerable for an hour rather than ten minutes. Twelve inches covers the wrist and some of the forearm, the area that actually gets splashed when a pail is tipped. Nitrile resists oils, greases and most solvents better than natural rubber and carries no latex protein risk. Rinse and hang them to dry after chemical contact; stored wet and balled up they degrade from the inside and fail at the fingertips first, which is the part nobody inspects before pulling them on again.
