Description

Two louvered steel panels and forty-eight hanging bins in three sizes. The panels take the wall so the bench stays clear, which is the actual problem being solved — bench space is the scarcest thing in most workshops and bins are what consume it. Bins hook over the louvre and come off one-handed, and they go back without aiming, which is the only reason a bin system survives contact with people who are busy. A system that needs two hands and a careful alignment gets abandoned within a month and the parts end up in a drawer. Panels mount to studs, to masonry with the right anchors, or onto a bench back or a cart. The bins are polypropylene with a moulded label slot and a front lip, so a hand goes in without tipping the bin off the rail. Mix the three sizes by what you actually stock rather than filling the panel evenly, and leave a column of empty louvre for whatever arrives next.
