Lockout/Tagout Station

Description

A wall-mounted lockout station holding ten keyed-different padlocks, six hasps, a set of breaker and valve covers and a pad of durable tags. Lockout/tagout is the procedure that keeps equipment de-energised while somebody has their hands inside it, and it is among the most frequently cited failures in general industry. Keyed-different is the whole point: each worker applies their own lock and holds the only key, so the machine cannot be re-energised until every person who applied a lock has personally removed it. Keyed-alike locks look tidier on the board and defeat the entire principle. The hasp is what lets multiple locks onto a single isolation point. A station does not create a programme — you still need written procedures for each machine, authorised-person training and a periodic audit — but it puts the hardware at the point of use, which is where a programme lives or dies. Mount it on the wall by the panel it serves rather than in an office, and replace locks as they are cut off rather than letting the board run down to three.
