Loading Dock Plate

Description

A welded aluminium dock plate, thirty-six inches wide by thirty deep, rated twenty-five hundred pounds, with integral lift handles and two steel locking legs that drop behind the trailer sill. The legs are not optional equipment and not a convenience feature; they are what stops the plate walking out of the gap as a pallet truck crosses it, which is the single way a dock plate injures somebody. Diamond tread surface for grip under a wet wheel. Aluminium because a steel plate of this size is heavier than one person should be lifting several times a shift, and a plate that is too heavy to reposition gets left in place and then gets driven around. Rated for hand pallet trucks and foot traffic. It is not a dock board and will not take a powered forklift; that is a different, heavier product with a different rating. Check the height differential between your dock and the trailer bed before ordering, because a plate that is too short creates a ramp angle no pallet truck will climb.
