Industrial Degreaser Concentrate

Description

A butyl-free alkaline concentrate that dilutes as far as one to sixty-four for floors and as rich as one to eight for equipment and engine work. Butyl-free is the specification that matters here: butyl cuts grease extremely well and it also evaporates into an enclosed bay as a vapour that ventilation often cannot keep up with, which turns into a complaint and then a question from somebody with a clipboard. This formulation gets its cutting power from alkalinity and surfactants instead. Because it is alkaline, keep it off bare aluminium, anodised finishes and polished stone, all of which it will etch — test an inconspicuous area first, every time, on a floor you have not cleaned before. Dilute into water, not the other way round. Buying at one to sixty-four means the five gallon pail makes three hundred and twenty gallons of usable solution, which is why concentrate is the only sensible way to buy this for a building of any size.
