Description

Four seventy-two by eighty inch non-woven blankets with bound edges, roughly sixty-five pounds to the dozen. For padding equipment in a trailer, protecting a finished floor while something heavy crosses it, and separating two items that would otherwise rub for four hundred miles. Bound edges rather than raw: an unbound blanket sheds along the cut within a few uses and then deposits fibre on everything it touches, which is a problem the first time it happens near a wet finish. Non-woven means it is a pressed fibre batt rather than a knitted textile, so it has bulk and compression recovery rather than drape. It is the bulk that does the protecting. Machine washable cold, but expect them to lose loft over time and treat them as a consumable on a two-year horizon rather than an asset. Four to a pack because almost nothing that needs a blanket needs only one.
