Cut-Resistant Glove

Description

Six pairs of thirteen-gauge HPPE shell gloves with a polyurethane palm coat, rated ANSI cut level A4. Thirteen gauge is a fine knit, which keeps the glove thin enough to retain the dexterity that makes people actually wear it — and that is the entire problem with cut protection. A heavy glove that lives in a drawer protects nobody, so the right glove is the thinnest one that meets the level you need. A4 covers the great majority of warehouse and assembly work: banding, blades, sheet edges, broken strapping. The polyurethane palm gives grip on dry and lightly oily parts without the stiffness of nitrile dip. They are cut-resistant, not cut-proof, and they offer no puncture protection worth the name against a needle or a sharp point. Launder them; HPPE keeps its rating through washing, unlike a coated glove that has been in solvent. Replace when the coating wears through at the fingertips.
