Description

Thirty-six rolls of two-inch clear acrylic carton tape, one hundred and ten yards each, two mil. Acrylic rather than hot-melt: it costs less per roll, it stays clear instead of yellowing on a shelf, and it holds its adhesion across a much wider temperature range, which matters in a warehouse that is not climate controlled and in a trailer that crosses a desert in August. The trade is initial tack. Acrylic grabs more slowly, so it wants a moment of pressure to set and it is less forgiving on a dusty or recycled-content carton. If your cartons are heavily recycled, cold, or being sealed by hand at speed, hot-melt is the better tool and we stock it. Run it from a proper side-loading dispenser with a sharp blade; a dull blade shreds the film edge and causes the roll to split lengthwise. Store rolls on their sides, never stacked on the cut edge, which deforms the core and makes the roll run crooked.
