Twelve per box, ANSI Z87.1+ rated with a hard coat and an anti-fog treatment. The plus on the marking is the part to look for: it denotes high-impact testing, and eyewear marked Z87 without it has only passed the basic impact test. Check the marking on the lens and the temple, because that marking is what an inspector reads. The hard coat matters more than buyers expect — an uncoated polycarbonate lens hazes from cleaning alone within weeks and then gets pushed up onto a forehead, which is how eye injuries happen with eyewear present in the building. The over-the-glasses goggle is in the range because the alternative for someone with a prescription is taking their own glasses off to put safety glasses on, and they will simply not do it. Anti-fog is a coating and it is consumable; it fails eventually, and when it does the eyewear is finished, not just dirty.
